Wow. Do you think all is lost in Broward County, and both the Scott and DeSantis wins will be flipped?? Dear God...

Why on earth would the poll workers put a box of ballots in a storage closet? Why wouldn’t they just stack them in plain view of everyone?

Why on earth would the poll workers put a box of ballots in a storage closet?

Keep reading, my friend.

Hint... Teacher's name isn't Lakeisha Williams. it's Lakeisha Sorey.

Teacher reports finding ballot box left behind at Broward County polling place

Nobody found a box of ballots left in a closet. They manufactured one.

How cute -- Red box, blue box, provisional box.

Count the blue
Toss the red
Sift through the Provisional box for Dem votes

My question was largely rhetorical. The story makes no sense, ergo it’s nonsense.

For later “discovery”, when needed (pre-punched, of course). My question is, how many of these have ‘popped up’ like this ...

There’s a reason it hasn’t been used in schools for decades. We’re not living in the stone age anymore. Anything involving paper ballots and hand counting is totally inefficient and RIFE for opportunities for errors and fraud. By virtue of the fact that they take days to count is the biggest factor that can lead to fraud. That gives all the time in the world for the losing party to see how big the margin of fraud is and how many new ballots they need to “produce.”

I’ve never voted on paper once in Pennsylvania. There is absolutely no reason not to trust machines unless you’re a luddite. The machine technology can be verified by both parties that it has adequate security.

I read some headlines that ballots have been transported in private vehicles and rented trucks, and that they don’t even know who is dropping off boxes or where they came from. It’s a madhouse, and completely absurd. Try monkeying around like this with anything else - the IRS, Social Security, Welfare you name it. They can’t manage the votes, they can’t trace the provenance of ballots...

The reason I don’t want computers is because its much easier to manufacture votes with the click of a button. Sure paper ballots are not the most efficient but we’ve been doing it that way for ages. Every vote I’ve made over decades has been the same - butterfly ballot with either blotter pen or punch pen. And if you saw my post my reasoning has to do with the way they are counted. I think they should be counted at the precinct in front of citizen observers. That way everyone can watch the count and none of this counting in bulk in secret rooms, boxes mixed up, boxes coming from unknown places etc.

It shouldn’t be this complicated or secretive, and it should be much more secure. We’d know where every ballot was cast and what the count is before they can get their cheating hands on them. I’m surprised that the ballot boxes are not locked, with bar codes and GPS/RFID tracking their every move; and that the ballots themselves cannot be traced to a voting location among other lapses in security. Any printer in the country can print up fake ballots in a couple of hours. IMO Congress has to step in and legislate, mandate and fund this.

Of course I am open to other ideas, but the general gist is that it should be secure, transparent and traceable. None of this “found boxes” and anonymous transportation and secret counting nonsense. Free and fair is what we deserve.
