its about de-legitimizing Scotts win
.....................You might have a point if Scott had been an outsider, but Scott is a popular Governor who has done wonders for Florida. He lowered taxes, brought jobs, jobs, jobs, to Florida and even succeeded in paying down the debt. He is/was a businessman and fits well with Trump whom he supports. He also has a nice attitude as he LISTENS when voters air their opinions to him.
Gee, I will miss the cheating corpse.
After her Kavanaugh betrayal, Murkowski is on big-time Rino short leash. It remains to be seen how she will react. She may decide to be a team player for a change in the hope that she will be forgiven and re-elected. Or she may just chuck it all and pull a Flake. Hoping Sarah will go after her seat in 2022.
DeSantis lead is much larger than Scott’s.
Heller is gone cause of Mexican votes, which also sunk more conservative Republicans in Nevada.
Morrisey didn’t win in WV despite a Trump rally.
did any one actually think the wimpy charismaless Morisee could win?
Some people did, yes. And he got closer than I thought he would.
He was the more conservative primary choice and most freepers were backing him over Evan Jenkins. I think it’s pretty clear Jenkins would have likely won.
So, Morrisey is wimpy?
“A Republican governor like DeSantis will make a marked difference.”
Sure, but we need the Senate even more! Anyway, DeSantis has been elected, and I am hoping he will be a better governor than Scott was. There will be no further recounting, and TG the Republican, Kemp, will also take the governorship in Georgia. Two decent men have prevailed against a couple of crooked Blacks. And while it is also probable that Scott will win the Senate Seat in Florida, that is not yet a sure thing. Just hope he’s a better Senator than he was governor. He was too hands off to suit me.
“I will take Romney over flake/McCain anytime, I know thats not saying much”
Proving once again you know the difference between $hit and Shinola! Take it from a recovering Mormon, you don’t want them in politics today. There was a time when Mormons could be counted on the be upstanding decent people. That time appears to be long gone. Examples: Reid, Flake, Romney, Heller, and now Sinema.
Besides, their church, not unlike the Catholics, don’t abide by our country’s borders and immigration policy.
I had a couple of things to say to Governor Scott which caused him to sit up and take notice. Disagreement with certain actions as it were.Nevertheless, when you look at the positive growth in Florida’s economy due to Scott’s efforts, the reduction of our State debt, the reduction of our real estate taxes as well as the preservation of Florida’s No STATE INCOME TAX, I consider Scott a damn good governor. He is not a slick orator and he made some mistakes, but Florida is the envy of many many states and largely due to Scott’s efforts personally. He never quit working for Floridians.
“He never quit working for Floridians.”
I’m not a Floridian, so I don’t have a horse in this derby. Scott certainly was light years better than LIttle Yebbie or Mr. Light in the Loafers. But I thought he didn’t handle the Trayvon Martin business at all well. He sorta reminded me of Little Yebbie when he didn’t t defend the woman whose husband wanted to kill her.
i didn’t say he was perfect. I had some personal discussions with him over disagreements, however, in the aftermath of those you named as well as others, Scott has done a good job for Floridians. He LOWERED our debt as well as reducing taxes.
I’d like to see Washington follow the same route as Trump has in mind. Furthermore, I believe Scott will be a strong supporter of President Trump instead of stabbing him in the back like Romney intends to do.
