The people there are good, honest, hard working folks.

That’s a real bummer, for the deer and the car.

You are so right there. A couple of thousand to fix the car.

Though I must say that during my college years, my roommates from Republic more than adequately supplied our protein needs with venison.

You see how much more sensible eastern WA is than Seattle and the Puget Sound area?

It’s a great little town. I grew up a few miles down the road and I’ll be traveling through there next week. My grandniece is the prosecuting attorney there.

Our ‘66 graduating ROTC class, many VietNam veterans, just spent a week in Republic this past summer, at K Diamond K Ranch, and had an excellent time. The town reserved their gun range for our exclusive use for the week. We visited their brewery, filled half the place and enjoyed the friendly and happy residents there. I like what they are doing and am not surprised by their action. The residents of Republic do not strike me as people who will just sit back and take it.

Your grandniece is a fortunate lady to have that job in a town like that, but them I’m sure she worked hard for it.

Can’t someone just sue, cite Chicago vs. McDonald as precedent, and easily beat the pants off these idiot voters in court? At least for handgun ownership?
>

The Constitution is the 1st and final ‘precedent’, but you don’t see many, if at all, govt employee cite it.

Hit POST too soon:

I will say, SCOTUS (as does ANY govt employee) likes to parse and read the tea-leaves when it comes to any case(s)...Not the actual simple, English lang. of the 2nd.

IE: Chicago vs. McDonald (vs. 2nd A.) doesn’t bother re: “shall NOT be infringed”, but loves to smoke-screen by using “Nation’s history & tradition” or, somehow, the 2nd is re: self-protection, etc.

AKA everything BUT the elephant in the room (Constitution is a limit upon GOVT, not the Citizen)

Ummm - it seems that the laws these cities want to ignore are un-constituional attacks on the 2nd Amendment.....unless i read it wrong, you just keyed on the words “sanctuary cities” where the parens were specifically to denote that it wasn’t the type of sanctuary city we have been accustomed to.

You can drive without a license on your own private land.

Back in 2013 Sarah Palin gave the commencement speech at the Republic graduation. IIRC, the entire town welcomed her with open arms and decorations.

>>>You can drive without a license on your own private land<<<

Exactly, but my point was that you can OWN a Car without having a Driver’s License, a two ton killing machine.

The Rats think that you have no Constitutional Right to own a Gun as a Law Abiding Citizen.
