Set up a single fund for all welfare benefits for US citizens and illegals. It will force the government to identify how much is needed. Once it is gone there is no more that year. Watch to see how citizens react to more illegals taking from the pot.
And yet, you continually elect morons and assholes to govern you. Sad.
bump
I am a Californian and I would NEVER EVER vote Dem NEVER!!!! This state is the way it is BECAUSE of illegal immigration, illegal immigrants are voting in DROVES and not one damn thing being done about it by the PUBBIE party!!! This last election EVERY damned seat was flipped to Dem AFTER the election fraud is rampant and OUR SIDE could care less!!!
I have never missed an election. I might not vote for everything that is on the ballot, but I do vote.
Play lovey dovey with rats in CA, then complain when you wake up robbed to pay for newsom's pet projects, such as free shit for all illegals.
I would have to, because there is nothing worse to me than having to drink coffee from s paper of foam cup.
Re: “Few Latinos who support Trump’s immigration policy will dare to say so because they fear a backlash in their own community.”
Most Latinos do not support Trump or the GOP in the privacy of a voting booth, either.
2016 Election - 72% of Hispanics voted against Trump.

2018 Election - 71% of Hispanics voted against the GOP.

Maybe yall dont vote. Otherwise, youd have different leadership.

Also, in some California elections as I understand it, the top 2 vote-getters from primary are on ballot...and they could and often are Democrats...So where a friend of mine lives, there is no choice for GOP voter unless they write-in...
Sounds like a hasty exit would be appropriate.
Well, problem for many is they have secure high-paying jobs that are not available elsewhere :(
How does one handle quality of life decisions like that?
Well, if you are making good money, say $200K, in tech industry which is not located in any other state, you “make money while the son shines.”
One friend has lovely home in agricultural/wine country which is fairly conservative. My son plans to retire before age 40, at which point he will move to a more conservative area. Both son and friend are conservatives btw.
I have family that were there for 60+ years—they are all conservatives and business owners...Fight the good fight they do try.
OOPS! son = sun ha

My 2700 square foot home cost me $175,000. Four bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, full basement, double garage. Gasoline is now under $2 per gallon. Atlanta area.
Atlanta is nice area if you like hot humidity and can find the work you are qualified to do...I am glad you have found a great lifestyle...I am assuming you have a family with 4 bedrooms and 2700 sq ft...Good place to raise family.
My son probs won’t get married...friend’s kids are grown. Would not want to be raising kids in California.
I am not arguing to move to or stay in California. But to have a better standard of living elsewhere, have to have a well-paying job...very few companies require son’s specialized skill set, and in the US 99% of those companies are in Bay area...He does not want to go overseas to Korea or Malaysia...another location that has companies needing what he does.
He is in a very specialized niche that pays him extremely well, so why would he move?
He is single and has an extremely economical living situation—does not need 2700 square feet...Doesn’t want it for now. Gas stings and traffic is nasty—but I have been thr Atlanta...traffic there can be nightmarish ;)
Same goes for friend’s spouse...tried to stay in Chicago area...but had to go to Bay area to get a good job qualified for...has a beautiful house....It was expensive to get in; however, it has appreciated substantially since they bought it...So they will probably be OK...
Saddens me because it is the most beautiful state, and the DEMS have ruined it :(
In sympathy, I’m sure the Democrats control the elections as well.
Methods in my state to retain control: 1. Always resign in the middle of your term so the governor can replace you with a dependable Demcrat replacement, usually your chief of staff. Thus you always have an incumbent to hold the office. 2. Set up your system so that “democracy” is two Democrats running against each other (in my State really only the primary counts at all). 3. Make sure that Republicans or other challenging know that they will lose, will be blackballed and never able to get a job or government contract again.
OK, now decide: Is it better to be governed under those conditions, or take a cut in pay in order to live a less regulated life?
