If this keeps up, all those food stamp and EBT users are likely to abandon the Republican Party and start voting Democrat. /s

Worse -— how are they going to pay for their drugs?? (I know of people who actually sell their food stamps and buy drugs, instead.) There’s a whole subclass of people out there, who really do live by the “if I can get away with it, why shouldn’t I?”, philosophy. No apparent scruples.

All AFGE members.

Let me guess...even if their jobs were eliminated, the government would be forced to transfer them to other departments, where they wouldn’t be necessary, either, like a good portion of those already working there.

>>LOL. so, democrat voters are hardest hit?<<

That would be very true, since probably 90% of those employees affected by the shutdown are Democrats, IF they actually suffered any loss of income.

>>Considering there shouldn’t be any Unconstitutional Federal Food Stamps Program, it is welcome news.<<

Unconstitutional laws and policies are exactly why our country is now in the meltdown mode.

Sorry, I was wrong before. They aren’t getting free breakfast and lunch. They are getting free breakfast and lunch AND dinner. Regardless of how much money their parents have. That includes Lamar High School, right next to River Oaks where the average house is probably north of $5 million.

Why in ANY good name do we have so many departments doing the SAME DANG THING??????

A top-down review of the ENTIRE federal government looking for redundancies and eliminating them should be done.

Take the top 10% of the workforce from WIC and those other groups and put them in SNAP or one of the others. Change the name. Put 20% of the budget in the program. We would increase benefits to the poor, decrease headcount and cut our budget and our deficit.

Sheesh. This is TOO simple.
