Keep in mind that before Ann’s last outburst last month Trump said the wall was pretty much built and he could find the additional money elsewhere (therefore there was really no need to shut the government down). Then Ann’s scathing article came out and trump suddenly said he wouldn’t sign the govt funding without the wall money.

The point being that he responds to Ann, Limbaugh, etc.

She could very well be saying he is going to cave to keep him from doing it.

One thing about trump, he has no hesitation in announcing victory and moving on, whether there really is a victory or not. So it is not out of the world to suggest that he already has won. Like he did about Mexico paying for the wall.

And no, I am not an anti trumper. Just a very accurate historian of actions.

I see that as a string bet. I say hold the footing and not cave at all. 95%+ of those federal employees are demoncrats anyhow. Make em squirm. No more playing nice, this is going to be a 2-year battle. If he caves on this issue I will be done I’ll vote for an alternate candidate. If America is going down in flames due to our inept congress and leftist judges what’s a few more years.

I keep saying there are only 3-4 more election cycles left before we are no longer America as we know or remember her. The indoctrination of our children ensured this long ago. We’ve allowed this in our schools going on two decades and there’s no turning back. The teachers are the ones who essentially are raising the children now anyhow. Both parents are working to be able to afford to live in a decent home and participate in life.

I also see it in my business every day. These people are vile human beings but they make up the majority now in my area of the country. Heck, we almost elected a socialist governor here in my state. The blinders came off for me during the 2016 election. My county, a consistent bastion of red voters, went solidly for HRC.

Yes. I’m pessimistic at this point. I think without severe intervention we are headed down the toilet.
By the way I do not like Ann Coulter, she’s even more pessimistic than I am and is a mittens lover.
Change my mind!

Absolutely correct. These characters on this board are so wedded to trump being perfect that they run down anyone who supports him but realistically keeps on eye on his stunts.

First of all, I truly doubt Trump will cave on the wall. Rather, it will be the proglibs that come up with a reason to explain to their base why it's a matter of nat'l security.

If Trump had wanted the Wall he would have pushed it in 17'-18'. He only wanted the issue.

Obama dragged democrats kicking and screaming into Obamacare that knew it would cost them their seats early in his first term.

Trump supported Romney: crickets.

Ann supported Romney, everyone loses their minds.

Civil War II?
=========

My money say it'll never happen.

Who are you going to fight first, the family across the street, or your Cousins? Or do you even know?

People should read about what happened in Bosnia before the spout this stuff; and there the line was distinct between Christians and Muslims.

Here there is no line.

At least I hope a way is found to pay the Coast Guard members.

I’ve noticed that. Trump does not walk on water. He is pragmatic and will weigh out his options.

Trump didn't want the Wall anymore than he wanted 'Lock Her Up'.

And then Limbaugh and the morning crew on Fox went after him after he appeared to be caving after that meeting with Pelosi and Schumer in December.

You ask that question like there is a choice to be made. You don't get it yet. If the time comes, when the time comes, that choosing has already been done. The only decision remaining to you is whether you lead, follow, or get out of the way.

We've worked hard, and patiently, to avoid Civil War. We've had our Tea Party. If the other side wants war bad enough, they'll keep pressing to have it whether you are ready or not. I hope you are right and it never happens, but I won't make your bet.

This is not to say that I agree with everything she says. I don't.

I can't think of even ONE thing she's said which I disagree with.

Can you? If so, please provide examples. Thank you.

I don’t disagree with your observations. I too have wanted immigration brought under control since the early 90s.

The wall is the best way to do it > IMO.

Where I quibble with Ann, is her comprehension of the problem.

Trump wants it. Even though he could us EOs to get what he wants, that isn’t the way I want it accomplished.

We railed on Obama for using EOs. Now here were are, Congress refusing to budge, and so we’re hoping Trump will just tell them off and do what he wants.

Some folks will disagree with me here, but I don’t think he has that kind of power. The SCOTUS is a branch of government that can’t be trusted at all anymore.

You know, it’s too easy to sit back in the cheap seats and trash Trump and make noise about him not getting re-elected. Actually being in a position of power, brings reality home.

All Ann is doing is helping the Left to accomplish their goal of destroying Trump’s base of support.

Who are we going to go to, if not Trump on these matters? No person in Congress will pull for a wall if it costs Trump his job. There’s a ton of other stuff too, that Trump is getting done.

If folks support Trump, they are happy about those other things. Do we get those things without Trump? We sure didn’t get them until Trump did we.

I’ll be voting for Trump. Folks can tell themselves they won’t vote for “Bush” because of tax hikes if they like, but winding up with a Clinton is the result.

Who would we be happy to trade Trump out for?

I don’t see that person on either side of the isle.

That’s the reality Ann ignores to pop off. All she has to do is move Trump’s support by a few percent, and she could accomplish making him nonviable. Then what?

Ann is willing to sell us out to whatever Trump is replaced with.

Then what Ann?

It’s like the Left pushing for Communism. If they get it, then what? It’s over.

Without Trump it’s over too.

The reason so many here are constantly near panic is that DJT is the only chance to literally save the US from becoming a turd world country. We understand he constantly has to watch that anything he does cannot be construed to be an impeachable action. People here wish he would say on TV in a speech to the nation, the border wall is existential, the rats love the invaders not you US citizens and the United States. Call on the people to peacefully assemble at the nation's capitol to advocate for this now. We have to get angry. really angry and physically oppose the left.

What I meant was that in 2012 we all supported Romney and loved the idea of him as president not just Ann. I believe you were trying to say Ann loving Romney was odd. But not at all since we all did in 2012.
