Qn: Was this a fix like the coordination of UK Universities emails to arrive at the desired conclusion? Or was it funded by the UN? or...greedy GORE?

That’s Al Gore straining to get the movement started.

It is insanity. Are they saying there is now never going to be another ice age? What are they saying?

The resistance to accepting climate change has been localized to one specific area of the brain - the logic lobe.

Simple lobotomies can be mandated to improve the political pliability of the population, as part of a Grand Green New Deal, as it begins to be drafted beyond its current bumper sticker slogan stage.

My brain knows that the small patch of land called Central Park (the one in Manhattan) was, several thousand years ago, enveloped in glacial ice about 2,000 feet thick.

And my brain knows that that ice was gone thousands of years before the development of the internal combustion engine.

As a result my brain has reached the logical conclusion regarding that glacial ice as well as any "climate change" that might be occurring today.

The temps can easily swing by 50 degrees during the day. We are still here. A half of 1 degree a century from now? Just nonsense. Plus those who advocate global warming all want higher taxes so you know right there how crooked this all is.

How does my brain prevent me from accepting climate change? It behaves how it is supposed to. It uses logic and facts.

Why do liberal web sites not allow comments? Because liberal brains are unable to process contrary opinions.

Why does Michael Savage have to go into hiding? Because liberal brains are unable to process contrary opinions.

etc, etc, etc.

I know enough about computer modelling, and its strengths and weaknesses, to be unable to take climate science seriously.

The conclusions they are claiming to reach are not of a kind that could be produced by computer models.

"It must be VERY important to their future plans."

The American Left have always been acutely embarrassed by the dominance of their nation on the global stage, and have long sought to replace the US with the UN, to "put us in our place".

The accumulation of further power by the UN has pretty much stalled for decades now. To jumpstart it, some huge crisis faced by all humanity is needed to jump to the next level of power, namely the power to tax on a global scale.

When we passed a Constitutional Amendment to allow the Feds to collect an income tax, our grandparents & great-grandparents' were lied to, being told it would only be a teensy little bitty tax, certainly no more than 1 percent or so. The reason given for why a 1% or 2% cap wasn't written into the amendment was: "just in case of a national emergency, when our govt might need to very temporarily raise it past that cap". Uhuh. Yeah. Do tell.

If the UN can ever be given that same kind of power to tax humankind, there's no stopping the slide downhill, even though it will start off being only a tiny amount, as America's new federal taxes were at the beginning. And a "dire global emergency" is the only vehicle for convincing enough people to give them that taxing power.

How your brain stops you from taking climate change seriously

Huh. They say that like it's a bad thing...that is what your brain is supposed to do. Everything I don't take seriously is because my brain has thought it through and determined it doesn't need to be taken seriously.

It really makes me wonder what the Leftists at PBS use their brains for.

(No, I didn't read the article...:)

Might be better to do a opinion piece on "Why your mental illness and need to be ruled by those who have no respect for you makes you need to believe in climate change as a threat."
