They are petulant children. Clinton was impeached, so they must impeach a Republican. Clinton wasn't impeached for his actual crimes, he was nailed for the process crime of lying to investigators. (Sound familiar?)
The Left does not care one bit what he gets impeached for, only that it happens. It doesn't need to be real, true, supported by evidence, moral, legal, or even a Right-wing issue... it just needs to happen.
And that won't make them stop their assaults on the nation and the culture, it will simply be something to crow about on their lemming-like race to the destruction of Traditional America.
