Since her mind is made up (what is left of it) as soon as a case is filed there is no need for her to attend. And she sleeps better at home.
RBG is not retiring until long after she reaches room temperature.
At home or in her office. Would anyone notice a difference?
She might be OK... Well, probably not now.
I am reminded of a running joke on SNL, when it was still funny in the mid 70’s, lampooning Spanish authorities for their Herculean efforts in keeping Franco “alive” for weeks, even though he was in a coma.
I assume that remark is a joke.
Roberts has no power to remove her.
It's NOT fantasy - corrupt 'elites' are taking blood from teenagers and injecting their youth... might also explain why tons of dead babies (from abortions) are sold every year... Universities aren't buying all those little bodies.
I have no idea.
RE: At home or in her office. Would anyone notice a difference?
Calvin Coolidge was the 30th President of the United States, and his highly reserved character in social settings led to the nickname Silent Cal. A few years after his death in 1933 two similar anecdotes began to circulate about the spoken reaction to the news of Coolidges demise. Reportedly, when the wit Dorothy Parker was notified she said:
“How can they tell?”
Also, when the raconteur Wilson Mizner was told he said:
“How do they know?”
The difference is Ruth Bader Ginsburg was anything but silent in her heyday.
Well, they let her vote on gay marriage after she had already performed gay marriages. Conservatives have to recuse if they put Russian salad dressing on their salads.
She will be the first SCOTUS to come to work with a mirror under her nose.
“...The 85-year-old is recovering from surgery to remove cancer from her lungs...”
NO!
The 85-year-old is recovering from surgery to remove one of the lobes of her left lung.
It’ like saying they removed cancer from your leg, when they actually cut off your foot!
what drugs are she taking while she’s working?
Roberts can basically go and confront her, and say that if she’s not there for oral arguments, then it would be difficult for her to relate to the case. This has been a continual problem for the court because they’ve had various people who had surgery or health issues, and they were gone for a week here, a month there.
I read a piece several years ago where someone suggested that a ‘extra’ Justice should be on the staff and fill in when these health issues pop up.
tick....tick....tick
she probably died a week ago.
They do not want DJT to select a new justice.
Great reference. Love CS Lewis and “That Hideous Strength.”
Great movie. My family and I can quote the dialogue.
