I think that was the idea, she would make a few waves and help get democrats elected. But she is out to poach democrats with other socialists, I am not too sure that is what they were hoping for here.
Unless they are trying to “youngify” the party to a more millenial friendly party. They have a big problem with millenials, the older ones (the ones nearing 40, yes in the next three years the oldest of the millenial generation will be turning the big Four Oh) is that the older ones are turning more conservative quicker. The high school/college indoctrination just isn’t holding.
Cortez and all the attention she is getting (the media has orders to report everything she does) is to help with that old nursing home image the democrat party has. The problem is she has her own ambitions.
I don’t agree with her, but she does stand for something, something I can’t say about the rest of that party.
She is installed to grab the Berners, and stupid latinas, that’s her range, nothing more. She has 30% of the Identity Politics pie nailed down and ziplocked up.
Pelosi and her clique like the energy AOC brings to the base,so they don’t want to quiet her or publicly humiliate her. But they have no intention of giving her any real power either.
Darn, I was hoping that she would seated so she can be more visible. She’s the gift that keeps on coming.

When the media is told to stop booking her on the shows, FOX should book her for ten minutes every night.
Once the hype over Bug Eyes got old and she kept running her stupid mouth I said she’d be shut up and buried in some obscure House committee somewhere and kept out of sight and and quiet.

We have an actual, measurable, useful neo-OpChaos opportunity here. Didn’t work in 08, since the Cabal had McCain overturning any gains we made, but the theory should pan out pretty well now, in ou de-rigged political environment.
She’ll be on the powerful subcommittee on Hip Hop dances, the committee to promote global warming and the committee to mandate universal health care.

They should give her chairmanship of the powerful House Homecoming Committee
