When Bobbie Kennedy took the spotlight in 1968, there weren't so many vast differences between the parties. Looking at Beto’s past voting record, he isn't a real progressive. He came dangerously close to beating Cruz here in the heart of Texas. Given that he can be rather unpredictable, he still has enormous appeal to younger progressive voters and those who vote based on charismatic qualities of the candidate. He is considered by various age groups to be a charming reincarnation of Bobby Kennedy. I think it would be unwise to underestimate Beto’s electability.
