NAH...the DEMS chance at their time on TV got shut down
Is the news media going to boycott Trump?
Ha! Trump is like Crack to them!

Rare sneak preview of the type of State of Union address Trump will come up with. Nancy will WISH she had just gone ahead and invited him over.
Ahh for the days of Herb Caen and Art Hoppe. The “Sporting Green” section printed on green newsprint. Engaging reporting on crime and craziness, arts and entertainment, whatever was going on in what used to be one of the coolest cities on the planet.
A once-stellar newspaper.
“Along with some thunderous applause, thered also be Pelosi behind him mindlessly chewing her gums, and all sorts of other distraction.”
If the president goes to the Republican controlled Senate Chamber that does not happen.
Were Nancy to actually climb the boycott tree, she couldn’t climb back down and ask GOP permission to attend the SOTU speech in their chamber. And be shown on TV standing in the back of the room.
If Nancy closes the House chamber to the president, she cuts herself out of the loop. I’m guessing the president will call her bluff and make her pay for her fresh talk.
"Pelosi has taken away Trumps TV"
We'll see about that.
Actually, rethinking last week's Oval office presentation, it struck me that he needed graphics to support many of the stats presented. Stats never play well when spoken, and not shown.
DJT should reshape the SOTU, complete with all the good video supporting his case, graphics, etc. Imagine the twisted panties from the nets when Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, Clinton are shown supporting the wall. Oooh, la la .
F. Jennifer Rubin.
...yes, a live audience to play to, to riff too, AND graphics and video
“she has told him he won’t get his prime-time State of the Union address on Jan. 29”
At least not in the House. He can give
the address anywhere he wants to. She’s
afraid to give Trump is pitch on a national
stage.
If I were Trump, I wouldnt trust Nancy Pelosi sitting behind me no matter how much security I had.
She doesn’t have the power or authority to “take away Trump’s TV”. He can give SOTU any way, any time, and any place HE pleases. Giving it in the House chambers has been a tradition, but it’s not mandated. She’s as inconsequential as a gnat in this matter.
The first time Jennifer wrote her diatribe, people paid attention, because it was the first time.
This is about the sixtieth time and now...
IT’S GETTING OLD, JEN, GIVE IT UP, GET SOME PLASTIC SURGERY AND TRY TO LOOK OTHER THAN THE UNSIGHTLY MESS YOU HAVE BECOME.
But, because it is old now, it has NO punch. Sorry, hon, I didn’t even read you.
My thought exactly.
I think she came up with the article name first and thought it was so cute and clever she had to make up some filler.
I stopped at Jennifer Rubin
What an ugly hack she is..inside & out
How about the capital rotunda, with the closed door of the congressional chamber behind him as a back drop.
I think J. Rubin has had too much Napa V. wine and wacky-backy.
Pelosi INVITED POTUS in early January to do the SOTU on the 29th and he accepted. How can she withdraw the invitation? (In old movies, a vampire had to be invited in and, once invited, there was no reneging).
Trump will give the SOTU on the 29th, barring something unforeseen at this time; whether Pelosi wants it or not.
He ought to give the SOTU from the living room of someone who lives on the border and had a family member killed by the migrants as they trespassed on their land as they illegally entered the country.
I would rather see defeated, demoralized Dems if there is to be a televised address in front of the whole Congress, but to each their own.
They can stick their hands up...well, I'll be nice and not finish that thought.
Perhaps this mongoloid can get Hoyer straightened out.
