I wouldn’t be able to get used to living in the desert and don’t have the desire to ever do so. Can’t deal with the lack of greenery.

We could do with less rain for a while, for sure. The ground’s awfully soft and if we get strong enough winds with one of these fronts, trees can go over easily. :-(

Hello Kathy....

Listening to Allan Jacksons son “Remember When”.......has special meaning as my best friends husband had died and she played this for me when I went to visit her....we cried together....they had a very real love story...I loved him too for making my best friend so very happy.

We didn’t get any of the snow called for in this storm...in fact the rain has melted alot of what was there. Expect temps to drop tomorrow so the roads likely will be lick if this freezes.

Also, if it freezes before the rain stops, it could cause the tree branches to ice up and break the limbs. You sure don’t need that...you’re still cleaning up after the tornado!

We had one of those kinds of ice storms 3 years ago, and nearly every tree in town lost branches...big ones. The ice was so thick I couldn’t knock ir off like I usually do to relieve the branches of the weight. Luckily, though, we only lost one small branch.

The rain stopped already and it looks like the snow is going to stay north of us. We’ve already hit 32 degrees and the deck was slippery when I went out to bring the rain gauge inside.

No ice storm this time, thank goodness. Been through that before. Just slippery surfaces until Monday.

Gonna be super-bundle-up-time tomorrow night when I go out to look at the lunar eclipse.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Well, what was the verdict yesterday? Lake trip or was it cold enough to just stay home?

Warm, windy, and wet here all day and now it’s snowing a little. A heck of a roller coaster ride!

Brrr! I’m surprised you even went out for the rain gauge. LOL! I sure wouldn’t be wanting to get out in what you’ll wake up to.

And speaking of that...I guess I’d better head out if I want to keep from doing any pew-bonking in the morning. LOL! See ya tomorrow night. Stay warm!

I brought in the rain gauge so it wouldn’t break. It wasn’t fun stepping out there, that’s for sure. Now there’s a light dusting of snow out there. BRRRRRR

Sleep well, if Peaches will allow. LOL! I assume he didn’t feel like prowling when he can be snug and warm on your bed.

Well, we actually got to spend a few minutes at the lake. I had multiple layers of clothing on.

Even early this morning I had to let Gizmo out because there was something he wanted to bark at. Turned out there was no one. He just wanted to bark and that was all.

Right now it feels like between 16 and 23 degrees out there. He's barking as I type this. I don't think there's anyone out there but he thinks there is so...... ((LOL))

At least you got to spend a little time at the lake but it doesn’t sound like it was much fun. If nothing else, it’s not easy moving around with multiple layers of clothing piled on. LOL

If the wind is blowing hard, it might be making things move outside and Gizmo thinks someone’s out there.

It’s ripping here tonight and I’m not sure what the wind chill is. At 30 degrees, I’d say it’s close to yours. It is COLD!!!!

Good morning, Radu!

*HUGS*

A Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours! Light rain and 45 degrees at the moment. We're expecting high winds and a drop into the low teens or single digits later today.

"Dia shábháil ar fad anseo!"

I feel for you with the winds and temperature drop. We went from a high of 60 yesterday to a low in the low 20s overnight and it’s only 28 this afternoon. With high wind.
Stoke the fires, and bundle up if you have to go outside!
