Hmm, so he would have to prove they knew the story was false but they printed it anyway. Yep, that would be hard to prove. I guess he would need something like a videotape of them admitting it. I do know Trump said when he leaves office the “lawsuits will be flying” and I doubt him. He won a $5 million judgement years ago against a woman who claimed the Miss USA pagent was fixed.

Really, at this point because of the calls for a leak investigation and the sort of sensitivity around that matter, we really can't go any further at all in order not to jeopardize our sources. I would certainly think they would have to be instructed on what they can say. But they are confidential sources, supposedly.

The story has been reported with the "if true" caveat. Now that Justice Dept. says it is not accurate, I don't see why it is being given any credence.
