I toy with the notion of moving further north from time-to-time. This musing and search for property in cooler climes usually takes place in the depths of a brutal Oklahoma summer when it is too hot for the birds to fly and the wind can be more like a blowtorch. Thankfully, I am not in the central and Western part of the state that is more like Kansas or the deserts and high plains of Texas.

When our brief winter comes and I can’t go out the door barefoot in shorts with no shirt, not a pretty sight, but instead bundle against the cold wind and have to put my boots on I look forward to spring and think that the worst part of summer usually only lasts 60 days or so. In about 40 days it will be time to start planting the garden and I will be able to walk to my little shelter at the top of the hill to enjoy another thunder storm roll across the sky.

Howdy, Kathy.

I hope your trips to the office over the weekend made things go smoother today.

Still foggy?

Howdy, LUV.

Still enjoying decent weather? Sure wish you could huff and puff and send some warmer temps our way. LOL! This cold is just no fun ay-tall!

I’m so glad I went in...today was overwhelming, and I have LOTS of corrections to make tomorrow...really all week. I’m hoping for some peace and quiet maybe by Thursday to help with the catch up.

I think the fog has lifted, but clouds abound. I drive home due east and every now and then the clouds thinned enough to see a round object, but it never did come out.

Have you warmed up any or is it still ugly?

Too cold, Mooch...warm coat, warm boots, and stay in as much as you can.

Have you had snow?

Whew! Good thing you DID go in, then, if things were that crazy today. I figured there’d be a lot of corrections this week after the fiasco two weeks ago. Good luck in having some “catch-up” time Thursday.

It’s a shame you don’t have clear skies tonight. The moon’s still big and bright. At least you didn’t have to drive through pea soup to get home. LOL

It was a little warmer today, and we had some sunshine, but it’s still cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 50 BUT with 25 to 35 mph winds, it won’t feel warm. They say we could have 40 to 50 mph winds tomorrow night. Yikes!

Hey, there, radu! Good to see you. So you’re still in the deep freeze, huh? Hope you get a warm up soon...before you have to go to the grocery store again.

It’s not too bad here right now at 52 and breezy [19 mph], but it will get colder tomorrow and the high will be 57. Freezing tomorrow night. Not as cold as you, but still.

No snow (too cold); but possibly some at the end of the week.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Hey there, LUV.
I’m back. Had to grab a shower to get rid of the stink of ancient Avon. GAG! Been cleaning out junk from the dresser drawers at the other house and there’s a ton of that stuff.

Yeah, it’s still pretty cold here but the temp is starting to go up a little. The wind has started blowing again, too, but not as hard as it’ll blow tomorrow. I’m hitting the grocery store in the afternoon while it’s warmish and dry because Wed. will be a chilly soaker, then 30s through the weekend. :-(

Your 52 degrees sounds SOOOOO nice right now! LOL But it sounds like the cold that’s coming here this week is going to hit you first. I’m ready for Spring! How ‘bout choo?

We’ve been pretty lucky overall this winter so I reckon I shouldn’t complain about the cold we’re getting now. BUT I AM! LOL!
The cold isn’t nearly as worrisome as the winds they’re predicting. As saturated as the ground it, that could spell trouble.
