The Native Youth Leadership Alliance (NYLA) is a non-profit organization that is funded by the same far-left power players who are often involved in bankrolling leftist causes. The organization’s funding partners include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Social Justice Fund Northwest.

It's time - PAST TIME - to end tax deductions for 'non-profit' scams.

While I was stationed ar Bien Hoa in late 72 a company of Marines were brought in to strengthen the perimeter. They however did not do any combat operations in the area. They were there to fill in large gaps the ARVN troops could not secure.

Our fellow travelers from Punjab find it offensive when you say “indian” and point to the area between your eyebrows as well as saying “indian with a dot”.

And then there are the Indians with turbans (pagri)...

...because some are pull-start

Ooooooooo! Stolen!

Push-start Indians and Pull-start Indians.
A 1st Amendment dream!

(Are there any Jump-start or Bump-start Indians, I wonder?)

“You ever notice these Native Americans only have one song?”

I saw the videos from this incident. I have also seen and heard videos and recordings of genuine American Indian Pow-Wows.

The drums of genuine American Indian cultures are beautifully made, and finished, of many sizes and tones. Mr. Phillips drum was crude, with hardly more tone than hitting the bottom of a bucket. The chants of the American Indians are many and varied, dependent on the tribe and the purpose of the song. I did not hear Mr. Phillips make a chant, but if it sounded like the one you quote, than it is only too possible that he learned it from Hollywood movies instead of tribal traditions. It is like the old joke (by an American Indian stand-up comedian), “I would like to great you with the traditional welcoming song of my people, ‘Hi-how-are-ya, Hi-how-are-ya....’”

There are only two groups of people in the U.S.who are allowed to be ridiculed and used as targets of comedy. White Southern Rednecks and West Va. Hillbillies (I’m both). We know how to laugh at ourselves and enjoy life because we are good-hearted people. We don’t care about the jokes, we just laugh because we understand human foibles and that Tragedy is funny. Why do we laugh when someone slips on a banana peel? Hey did you hear the one about the Hillbilly who joined the Army...................

He is of the Omaha tribe, a tribe so small they never had a war with the US. They looked to the US and our Pawnee allies , to protect them from the hostile Sioux, Cheyenne and Arapaho.

US allies at that time in that area were...Crow, Shoshone, Ute, Bannock, Pawnee, Ree, Osage, Nez Pierce, Winnebagoes, Otoes, Peoria. Omaha, Mandan, Otoe.

And today so many uninformed still believe it was the US Cavalry VS every tribe.

“As one who has been around the Lakota and the Cheyenne I would definitely say he is a member of the Omaha tribe.”

What does that mean? The Omaha are not a part of the Sioux or Cheyenne. They were originally one of the settled prairie tribes, whom the Sioux and other plains Indians raided for the crop foods they didn't grow themselves. What would the Lakota or Cheyenne have to say about a person's membership in the Omaha Tribe? What does the Omaha tribe say? It was the Cherokee Tribe that rejected Sen. Warren's claim to be an Indian. So what do the Omaha say about Nathan Phillips claim to be a member and elder?

Nathan Phillips says he was out for a noon walk on a Saturday in mid-April. ??

College students partying at noon on a Saturday? Or or just the old Friday night party?

Omaha are part of a woodland tribe that split- the rest are Quapaw. The Omaha settled to the north and Quapaw to the south. Those in the north later adopted a plains lifestyle.

No, that’s only the Wannabe tribe song.

I had a job that required me to listen to drummers doing pow wow practice for hours on end, several days a month.

Most were very different depending on the subject. A lot of the songs were Kiowa veterans’ songs, and recent welcome back songs, etc., interspersed with old songs for various traditional dances. You could guess which was which in short order without knowing the language.

Once again the media FAILED to do some journalism 101 and do a modicum of background research.

The fake news is not only corrupt, but they are lazy as well.
