Ok thats funny! Ill be using that at work!!
He did do acting in Italy.
After his death, it was revealed that he was of Sicilian parentage, and not Native American at all
“It means they resemble each other.”
I still am not sure I understand you. Are you saying that you think Nathan Phillips is an Omaha because he ‘resembles’ the Lakota and Cheyenne individuals that you know?
Remember ‘Iron Eyes Cody’? He certainly resembled an American Indian; he looked just like Sitting Bull. But he was Italian.
That is your opinion I never saw iron eyes Cody as an Indian.
Just a ward Churchill kind of a guy
Well, it wasn’t just my opinion. Iron Eyes Cody was an actor who played an Indian many times in the movies, on TV, in that (in)famous series of commercials. He was so identified with the role that he took the ‘stage name’ of Iron Eyes Cody instead of his birth name, which was Victor something.
It is your opinion and others too, that an italian lools like an indian.
My reply was and is, he didn’t look like one to me.
This end of South Dakota has many reservations.
Many indigenous peoples.
Just up the highway Crazy Horse spoke to the tribes about the treat to their nations.
They resemble each other, to a degree.
Phillips doesn’t look like some Italian guy
