This is a textbook example of how to turn out a nothing burger into a perjury/obstruction charge. Why lie and then tell someone else to lie? And worse, why put it in writing. What a jerk.
After looking through the indictment, it looks like Stone lied. They’ve got him pretty cold.
Of course none of this part of the investigation has anything to do with the original perview of the Mueller investigation. It has to do with a reporter trying to get information from a possible source and being misleading about how he did that. No crime before Mueller’s investigation, and only a process crime that gives no evidence directly related to the original purpose.
There is one thing obvious to me and not reported, by citing he lied about access to these documents and being involved in their release, the DOJ is tacitly admitting the documents are accurate. Not said anywhere in any story or interview, the documents portray a host of illegal activities by her lowless. Juxtapose the wiki stuff against the doissier material and what do you have. The one that supported Trump was accurate, the one that supported Hitlery was a lie. No one goes to jail about the Hitlery stuff but many on going to jail based on the wiki stuff albeit both had their connection to Russia.
Yep. I wonder what Trump will do when Herr Mueller arrests Javanka or Donald, Jr. at 5:00 in the morning?

There are a few weasel words in his opening statement that will give his lawyers some time to pontificate. Certainly, there's nothing here that proves "collusion" or "Direction from the Trump campaign". Just a bunch of curiosity. What a shock.
They refused to turn over the server because it would have shown Seth Rich was the Wikileak and they had already plugged him.
