Marianna Trevino-Wright, Executive Director of the National Butterfly Center
I won’t send my picture but I am the Executive Director of the local sand gnat conservatory. The goal of our organization is to protect all of the gnats in our refuge so the locals won’t kill or otherwise harm these wonderful creatures.
We have excellent support from the local population because there are no gnats yet seen here.
We have no issue with our Federal Government building a wall straight through our facility. The only problem is that we are not located on the border.

butterflys can go up and over wall or thru spaces in the slat fence walls. plenty of options for them.
And so what if some get killed - PLENTY of bugs and animals get killed and diplaced when they build new housing developments as they are doing on most ever mile of land surrounding my area, lots of sprawl building going on for commercial and residential and no one complaining abou those dead bugs, etc.
Gonna pull a Rachel Corie?
