You silly goose! Our beloved elected officials and celebrities will stand in line alongside us waiting for care as well. OMG Lady Gaga! What's up girl? What are you in for? Can I have your autograph while we both wait 6 hours for an exam?

Note to self, scratch Oregon of the list of potential retirement states. Honestly, because we would love to retire in the coastal redwoods, we considered southern Oregon.

Sad that they will lose all of their Doctors. Perhaps they can get some Witch Doctors to come to Oregon.

It’s almost funny, like AOC funny. The state is going broke because of a huge public pension debt already.

Last election Oregon voters voted for higher taxes and politicians of the tax and spend variety.

Dumb asses.

You are quite the optimist. In a socialist country (like the UK), the average waiting time to see a doctor is four weeks. And if the problem is not urgent, you could wait for up to 20 weeks.

Onward the Revolution!

This Oregonian doesn’t want socialized medicine.

Any other Oregonians willing to speak out?

Oregon is actually two states unhappily married at the Cascades. Maybe it’s time for the eastern half to go its own way as a separate state or ask to be merged into Idaho.

Gold Beach is a sweet little coastal town that I wouldn’t mind retiring to, except it’s Oregon. Has the most sunny days of all Oregon beaches.

We’ve decided to retire to Texas, Oregon has gone to the dogs because of the stupid that lives on the I-5 corridor.

Let Oregon do it, and let them try to pay for it.

Fed.gov gets away with an ever-expanding leftist nanny-state, because they can create massive debt in a printed, fiat currency. States do not have the right of seigniorage, and also, competition between states would destroy any state-level socialized medicine scheme. its why leftists will insist on national-level socialized medicine. Fed.gov is at $22 trillion in debt now. Why can’t that be $40 Trillion? $100 Trillion?

If you have no shame or self-respect, living off the various welfare schemes isn’t a bad gig.

“From each according to his ability; to each according to his need.”

They’ll decide what “ability” you will provide, and what and how much “need” they’ll satisfy.

Cue revolutionary music and propaganda posters with us smiling, hoisted by cheering crowds and the Sun rising in the background.

Republicans can't stop anything.

Reality can. Vermont is supposed to have single payer health care. It doesn't. So is California.

Washington is not far behind. Thanks to an influx of Californians, the liberal people in the Seattle and Puget Sound region have been able to completely dominate the political system. We have an insane Democrat governor, both houses of the legislature our Democrat, and our State Supreme Court is all Democrat. My wife and I were both born here, but we are looking for an exit strategy because the writing is on the wall.

(2) Funding sources must be assessed based on the capacity of the source to generate sufficient revenue to finance the plan. The burden of the assessments must be distributed according to ability to pay.
