We considered N California for the same reason. But finally decided to head to Appalachia. Haven’t regretted it for a second

I know someone who used to go on missions over summer breaks to the Ukraine and Russia. Hot water literally came from the center of the city. People were not aware of band-aids or Tylenol in big cities, either. He saw his first-ever case of diphtheria there.

Come on, you know liberals aren’t good at details or unintended consequences!

(It’ll probably be like Europe, where there’s a 2 tier system and those that can afford it pay for services. Doctors see those first, so that makes the queue for the others even longer. Those visiting would be expected to pay. Except for illegals)

Her daughter was staying there and collecting food stamps and when she left my sister-in-law didn’t tell the government and just kept getting her daughters. She did the same thing when she kicked her fourth husband out. Kept getting his benefits and didn’t notify them. In both instances when they found out months later they simply stopped paying the extra benefits but did not penalize her at all.

Democrats do not understand the definition of a "human right".

The exercising of a human right can not obligate another person to be or do anything. Health care does not qualify as as a human right because it would force someone to provide that health care.

I was under the impression Oregon tried this in the 90’s, it actually had a great deal on momentum IIRC. I was under the impression when the 24% payoll tax off of gross was revealed as necessary to pay for it that it was rapidly abandoned.
I'm curious has anything changed to make it more palatable?

I always ask the, I'll willing to pay a little more so everybody can be covered if they are willing to pay 15, 20, or 25 percent in taxes IN ADDITION to their current tax load?
They invariably say it won't be that much and mention rich not paying enough and such.

Finally, you folks in the medical industry, the people pushing this talk about cost savings. One of those sources of savings, is paying you all LESS.

oh ok. I suppose if they tried to get the money back there would be no chance of that. But they could quit giving her food stamps until it all equals out. Typical liberals, no consequences. So it just encourages everybody to do the same.

Once the government and bureaucrats own health care, they control everything. They control what you eat, how you how and what you drink, exercise, all in the name of healthcare. Oh, and then there is mental health. The can even control what you think.

“Gee, Mr. Smith, I see on you chart here that you are a registered Republican. Unfortunately will will not be able to perform the necessary medical care for you cancer until we deal with your mental health issue.”

What she did was fraud. And in my opinion, although I know it will never happen, is that when someone does what she did they should be banned forever from getting food stamp money.

Marking September 30, 2020 on my calendar.
looks like they rejected ‘Single Payer’ (in lieu of premiums, copayments, coinsurance, deductibles or other forms of cost-sharing) and went straight to ‘Progressive taxes’(dedicated, progressive taxes that are based on the payer’s ability to pay) to fund this scheme. Sustainability is in question.
