Fine with me. I've worked all my life, haven't made a lot of money, So I'm still working while collecting SS. She has NEVER worked.
She gets a bigger SS payment than I based on her 2nd husband, whom she divorced 23 years ago - he died several years after the divorce.
Since then she married and divorced husbands #3 & #4. She divorced #4 about 6 years ago. Because she was now unmarried she was able to collect #2 (dead) husband's SS as if he was her last husband.
How's that for logic?
The Russian communist constitution guaranteed freedom of religion. When evil rules, the constitution means little.
That’s part of Social Security that needs to be fixed. I don’t see why someone would be getting Social Security based on a marriage. If you didn’t work during the marriage, and somebody wants to support you, let them keep doing it. But I think you’re talking about something else, if someone is a widow or widower then they get quite a bit more than half of their spouses social security. I think if there was a divorce then they shouldn’t be counted as a widow at all.
But I’m not in charge and nobody listens to me :-(
I was surprised when I visited for six weeks in 2002 at the large number of conservatives I ran into.
It is the influx from outside that have gained just enough power to tip everything.
Every place has a bit of it, your place has even more.
We need a good, old, honking miracle from on high.
Yes Slyfox, we do indeed need another miracle from above.
The majority of Oregon is red, especially the side I live on, east. The blue area is all in Portland, Salem, Eugene and some of Bend. And that is where all the population resides, so they rule the rest of us.
It’s a great state, hope we can save it. We need more conservatives to move here and help us fight the good fight. Make Oregon Red Again! MORA :)
I came in the end of the summer. I spent a lot of time at Powell's.
Omgosh, combat_boots-!
I forgot that group!
I think the Democrats would target them first by striving to deny them the right to vote; based on mental and physical disqualifications. I mean, it would only be a matter of semantics and as most voters are extremely uneducated and thus ignorant it would be easily done.
Then the Democrats would focus on adding them to the Death Panel Wish List.
So very sorry to have overlooked that important group! I figure because that group is capable still of defending themselves in various ways, the Democrats would have to used a different tact.....
Exactly. I have a colleague that used to work in Belgium. Frequently, he told me, "healthcare" received included the advice to "go on walks in the outdoors."
I live in Southern Oregon, and have for 35 years, it’s still a nice place to live.
It’s getting much worse, true...the proposed gun bans are horrific, and the legal pot has attracted a lot of deadbeats, criminals and losers.
But on the whole if you stick with the “normal” people in your church and in the community it’s a great place to live.
You’re surrounded by mountains, beautiful rivers, wonderful places to hike, camp, hunt or go picnicking.
That being said, my family is from Idaho, I spent many years in North Idaho and almost everyone I know is talking of moving to Idaho to escape the communist governor here, but it still is a very nice place to live.

So if one person dies, everyone has to die?
And when their plan fails, they will blame Conservatives.
