The guy that started the Boy Scouts in England also started the Girl Scouts.
The Girl Scouts strayed a little more than a lot. My daughter tried it and it was so bad she bailed. She hung with the Cubs, loved it, and did enough to earn her Arrow of Light.
The BSA has a great curriculum. The rule is that you need dual Scoutmasters and incorporate separate gendered Troops.
The reality is that the two Troops are actually run by the same committee, and do the same activities.
It’s really not that bad.

BSA was organized as a series of individual Councils. What should happen since that leadership has decided to change its name to Scouts. Councils opposed to these changes reorganize as the BSA.
Not quite yet. We will approach that point when a young male tries to join this troop and is denied. And the step after that is when the courts rule that the girls have a right to 'free association with their gender-of-choice' and upholds the boy's exclusion.
And so on and so on. Never assume that it can't get any stupider than it is at any given moment.

Somehow, boys still manage to become men and girls manage to become women who can all make fire and pitch tents
Those women do not meet BSA/ Scout USA leader standards for high adventure activities
