I want to see the Wall go up quickly, possibly even with long-term border closures anywhere that an Obama judge exceeds his authority and orders a stop to construction. If Mexico wants the border open, they can start rapid construction of the Wall on their side - out of reach of thug Obama-judges - and then President Trump should open those crossings contingent on rapid Wall progress. Let’s play rough.
The headline is misleading. I watched the entire press conference and Trump said he was going to sign an emergency declaration. There was no “and...”.
Are you certain about that? Article 4 Sect 4 of the constitution may find that parts of the CR are unconstitutional. That is more likely than the press may suspect. This is exactly the type of issue the courts should decide. I am waiting to see the lawyers give some solid analysis on this... It will not be found on tv, that is certain.
It is filled with limits on what he can and cannot do. By Signing it is he not agreeing to those limits? The Rat Judges have shown they will ignore it when he is on solid ground let alone when he tries to get around something he has already agree to.
We will have to wait and see how it plays out. Nobody really KNOWS what is in the bill or “WHAT IT REALLY MEANS”.

When the case against the wall gets to the Supreme court, I do not think it is going to be as easy the media thinks. Article 4 gives quite a bit of responsibility to the President on border security. I would like to see responsible analysis of this.
I still don’t understand why he signs this bill. It’s absolutely awful and the provisions tie his hands exactly how the dummocraps wanted to.

Most of the provisions apply only to the monies appropriated by the bill and for the remainder of the fiscal year that ends on 30 Sep 2019. There is language that says that some of the restrictions also apply to earlier acts. That could be problematic, but since the EO will be signed after the Appropriation, this point can be argued.
The Courts and the Crime Syndicate called the Democrat Party will fight to delay and stop what Trump is doing. They will have some temporary success, but I think that Trump will prevail in the end. I'm sure that the Trump haters on this forum will be disappointed by what will happen.
Unfortunately, you have a good point, however, I think that Obama was a case of who has standing to challenge and none of the candidates were willing to take up the fight. That makes me want to hear a solid analysis. A Supreme court ruling would be a good forum for that analysis. That would answer the question as to whether there are actually borders. At some point, the question of whether the emergence of classes of people with different rights (citizen vs. non citizen)is going to be the status quo going forward. I am afraid I may not like the answers but not asking and dealing with the default is worse.

I guess it’s either sign it or shut down the government again. Regardless, the wall gets built under a national emergency. All provisions of the Omnibill cancel out with the next CR. Trump should insist on a budget being passed each year as required by the Constitution and forbid CRs.
SHOULD HAVE RIPPED IT UP, and told them to give him a clean 2 page bill. Then declared National Emergency. BOTOX says it’s Unconstitutional, well then the other 31 active National Emergencies are UNCONSTITUTIONAL TOO.
This bill is a disaster, there is more in it to support and encourage the invaders than keeping them out
