I think it’s crazy how liberals oppose gentrification.
Decades ago, During the height of “white flight” , radical left types said whites were racist for moving away from changing neighborhoods.
Now that we see many old city neighborhoods being refurbished through gentrification, now the liberal types oppose mostly white people.moving back in as the neighborhoods are renovated.
Sometimes you can’t win with the liberal leftist types. Whites moving out was bad, and now whites or wealthier people moving back in is bad.
While she may be an easy target for conservatives, she is apparently loved by the 35 and under crowd who want free things.
They claim to be for the people. They lie.
But-but-but I thought AOC couldn’t AFFORD to move to DC, like it was so EXPENSIVE she couldn’t come up with the necessary deposits.
There is a lot of marginal housing over in Arlington, she could have looked there....
Or maybe that was never an option.

At $174k a year she can more than afford it, even the three bedroom apt. If it is uncovered someone other than herself is paying for it, she will have a lot of explaining to do. Not that anyone supporting her will be listening.
The dirty secret: when the people that ruined those neighborhoods are pushed out and move to new neighborhoods, those are ruined too. There is never case I can think of where things get better after such a scenario plays out. But on the other hand, since everywhere they go inevitably succumbs to decay, rot and crime, they never really lose out on the deal. Every place is the same for them.
Were these luxury apartments built using SOLAR POWERED CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT ?
Are they burning TREES in those fireplaces ?
They should tear those buildings down and start from scratch :-)
