Rather than dementia, I wonder whether she has Parkinson’s? We had a pastor who suffered with it and it did affect his ability to speak. He often would not be able to pray extemporaneously and had to practice his sermons prior to the service on Sunday. She tends to over-articulate words which has also made me wonder if she has gone through a type of Parkinson speech therapy.

There is something about the leftist mentality that makes them think that "everyone whom I associate with believes like I do". I have seen this many times. I just try to avoid politics even with like minded friends and acquaintances. An interaction between two people is not going to solve world problems.
