Add the government employees. Wasn’t it like 42% of the population is on free stuff or a government employee? That does not include the student debt crowd.. I think we are looking at well over 50% of the population on the dole in one way or another. It is Communism control 101. These folks will choose themselves over freedom. They are already submitting to extreme government intrusion and that is just at the doctor’s office.
This article, the comments herein, and the message of the media are all silent on the likely response of traditional Democrat voters. The Blue Collar workers of the Rust Belt, what is left of the rural Democrats who have voted the same way for generations. Those people started an exodus in 2016 and will probably turn that into a stampede in 2018. If you don’t think so, take a look at the solid Red of the South who would never leave the Democrat Party until they did.
Don’t expect to see or hear any evidence of this change, the media will suppress any and all indicators that may be out there. But, silently and firmly these people will express their preference in 2020. The Trump Haters might do well to take heed.

I used “over fifty” because I think the 40 year olds who now have 20 year old children (giver or take a few years, of course) represent the 40 year old liberals whose children are the 20 year old socialists now.
Older than that remembers TV news grudgingly showing a little of both sides (although Dems themselves) and a person in public being ignored or laughed off for wearing the other party’s buttons and hats during an election. And the quaint expression “tweedle dum and tweedle dee—the two parties are really the same”—not at all true in 2019!20 year olds don’t remember any of that.
Our Boomer generations are the people left to be patriots who can save this country or lose it. Little twerps think they are honorable for beating up an old conservative. They think they are admirable for hating whites like Trump for being white men.

I heard a former government official under Obama, left over from Bush, who said in his office “And then I’ll get all the jobs program information sent and the vocational training education aid funds to the recipients.” He was told” “Uh, no. Not any more. Obama firmly told us the rule is do not mention jobs or push jobs. Just keep them informed of their aid money. He’s dropped the rule of having to check in about getting work.”
Obama made sure millions were taking money but not working and would be affronted and resentful if anyone asked them to earn money working. The old “community organizer” knew an angry mob of violent welfare recipients being cut off after 90 days would be worse to the GOP than meekly going along. He was right.
Within days of signing an edict to provide free abortions to anybody in the world, the biggest snow storm hit southern Oregon in history. Did not effect anyone of the "representatives" in Salem, just their constituents in Southern Oregon. Entire small cities lost power for days, school has been out for a week, a thousand trees fell across one of our highways across the mountains, it was bad, really bad. Not a coincidence.
