Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Another beautiful, sunny day. Did you get to see any of the Iditarod start? Lots of jumping dogs ready to get started!
Shavua tov and blessings for all our vets and their families!
Hey there, Kathy.
You DID have a pretty day up there, but the fogging breath of the crowd for the race showed it was mighty nippy. BRRRRR!
I did get to see a little of the start of the race and those dogs were rarin’ to go. Lots of jumping around and barking like crazy. They’re all NUTZ! LOL
It was a dreary, raw day here but at least it was dry. Tomorrow, the bottom falls out - - both rain and temps. :-(
Glad you got to see some from then warmth of you living room. LOL!
Every time I see them lined out and ready to go I shake my fist at the idiots of PETA saying they are forced to run...they are bred to do so. For years and years and years PETA has been trying to get all sponsors to quit....more than a few are really wimps and afraid of PETA.
Dot and I went out to lunch and had a really nice, relaxing time of catching up.
Good evening, Luv, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Thank you for the hymns.
Howdy, Kathy! ((((hugs))))
Thank you....hope you have a peaceful and blessed Sunday, too. Hope you’re getting some rest this weekend!
I almost missed the start entirely. Got to see the last three as they took off. One woman has been racing for 20 or so years and this is her last race, or so she says. The TV folks said it will be obvious she’s giving it up when she no longer has her dogs.
PETA. *spit* They need to shut up. Those dogs were about to turn themselves inside out in their excitement. I couldn’t help but laugh at their antics. It was like they were on springs, they bounced up and down so much.
It looked like the crowd of spectators were having a great time. Cold or not, it was fun for all.
Cool that you and Dot got together for a bit today. I hope she’s doing well.
Ashlie and I went downtown several times years ago....the dog trucks drive in, park, get the dogs out of the dog boxes and onto the ground.
Everything is fairly quiet until the first dog line gets laid out and attached to the sled....then ALL HECK BREAKS LOOSE!!!! Barking and jumping dogs until they are hooked up and finally can start. It takes more than a couple handlers to keep them from taking off before time.
I’ll bet Ashlie had a blast going to the race that year, as much as she loves dogs.
Strange how the dogs are so quiet until they realize it’s RACE TIME. Boy, do they get fired up! Like a bunch of big wind-up toys bouncing around. You could see the glee on their faces when they finally got to take off.
They are really fun to watch.....SO excited!! Let’s go! Let’s go!! And they are VERY noisy!
How's everyone doing this morning?
Shavua Tov Kathy! :-)
It was fun watching them online. I imagine it’s much more fun to be there. I wish the TV station I was watching had had cameramen farther down 4th Ave. so we could see the teams as they hit stride.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Were you and Gizmo able to go to the lake or did the weather turn foul too early for it?
Good morning, BTerclinger, and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Thank you for the blessings for our vets and their families.
Hope winter has been treating you well.
