Specifically, Congress had no legitimate power to delegate what amounted to law-making power to the NRA.

The 1960s were when the Left really killed the Constitution. When William O. Douglas’ found “penumbras and emanations” from the Constitution, it meant the Constitution was whatever the present political fashion said it was.

“”The American Jews’ love for FDR is also something of a mystery when one considers his administration’s refusal to help Jews escape Nazi Germany as the Holocaust began to unfold. “”

That was the first thought that came to my mind when I read how much they loved FDR....glad we got to the end and the dichotomy of it. Very interesting post. Thanks.

It is, though not just Jews. Electoral college, 523-7 in 36 for reelection, 40, 449-82, 44 432-99. I get the support after Pearl Harbor, we were at war. And he had already been elected to his unprecedented third term as President. His conduct of the war, probably not worthy of criticism, as long as one doesn't give a s-it about eastern Europe or the worldwide advance of communism. But the country appears to have loved him through a period of economic disaster.

"athletes like Hank Greenberg and Sandy Koufax"

Koufax was famous for refusing to pitch on High Holy days.

Maybe he was more observant than Hank, who famously enjoyed ham sandwiches during games.

Then again, Hank was a huge guy, a slugger who needed protein.

He may not have been "choosy" while playing. IDK.
