On August 1, 1966, Charles Whitman, a former Marine, took rifles and other weapons to the observation deck of the Main Building tower at the University of Texas at Austin. Then with a bolt action rifle, he shot and killed 16 people and injured 31 others.
A bolt action rifle is not a semi-automatic. Why do politicians always go after the semiautomatic and automatic weapons?

New Zealand has a population of 4,947,100, a little more than Alabama. There are probably 100 x more guns in Alabama than in New Zealand.
