Whoops.. sorry about the size there...
What hate?
lol!
Man, you are in nasty form today. Did one of your neighbors pit bulls bite you on the ass? Maybe the cops need some new ammo to shoot those dogs.
No, I have some experience in trying to help ex-cons and it always works out the same with them back it prison in a short time.
Let’s pray that she utilizes this opportunity and moved forward in her life.
So, unlike what some freepers are saying, Kushner did not ram this person down Walmart’s throat. He simply made a reasonable request. She’ll be given a drug test and we’ll see if she fits back into society. Hope she makes it. As a fan of the tv game show Chopped, I see ex-cons who’ve made it in the food industry.
I know some that make your “always” a lie.
Not in my experience, every one went back. You get them jobs, cars, etc. and they repay you by doing stupid $hit and getting sent back.
Me also. I quit doing it decades ago after being burned more than once. No good deed goes unpunished.
I got one a job by calling a favor of a friend. Got him a car and helped him fix it up. Got him a apartment. ect ect.
He lost the job by getting drunk and being late for work.
He sold the car and about half my tools that he stole.
He convinced his former boss to loan him a car which he wreaked driving drunk, and managed to kill a passenger in the car.
He run from the accident and managed to run up a dozen more charges before he turned himself it.
I don’t know if he will ever get back out.
And that is just one. There have been more, but it always ends up the same. They screw up and go right back in prison.
It’s what they do, they’re screw-ups, that’s why they were in prison to start with.
I don’t have a problem with it.
We lock up too many people in the U.S. for petty crap, our incarceration rate is the highest in the world, ahead of such bastions of freedom as Turkmenistan and Cuba. We execute people at rates only exceeded by such luminaries as China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. Once we’ve imprisoned someone we’ve essentially blacklisted them for life from any decent job, it’s almost guaranteed they’re going to have to resort to crime to survive resulting in them going back to prison.
Prison is graduate school for criminals, if they weren’t a hardcore criminal going in they will be when they come out.
The lock ‘em all up stance of many so called conservatives concerns me. We’re supposed to be the bunch that defends keeping government out of your life, instead many republicans are leading the charge for a police state that lords over the people just waiting for someone to step out of line so they can jail them.
So you’re alright with crime as long as it happens to someone else?
I too have some experience with 'those people' and not all of us go back.
When you say always and never, you are in way past your pay grade.
In my experience the always go back, your experience can be whatever you want.
Unfortunately, there are some people - and many here - who just can’t shake the negative comments. Gets pretty old.
Very true - thanks.
