I’ve talked to a few LEOs of late, and after a delay, they are expecting a huge jump in the number of robbery, burglary, car theft, and mugging in the border states due to the huge influx of illegals.
They arrive in the US thinking they will get a job, but don’t. Whatever money they have is gone overnight.
They don’t really grasp how common guns are up here. Which means a lot of them are going to end up getting ventilated.

I’d bet they’re pretty much on the mark, sadly those illegals will hurt a lot of people too.
About the only temporary fix I can think of is to set up Joe Arpaio-style tent cities, using the real rationale that otherwise it will turn into a humanitarian crisis.
The trouble with that is that inertia would end up with them living them for years, so whatever real fix exists, it would have to happen quickly.
For a time, AZ had an effective solution: self deportation, of flying them to Mexico City on jumbo jets. It’s about a thousand miles from DF to the US border.
In this case, sorted by nation of origin, president Trump could offer to restore these nations foreign aid if they agree to take their people back.
