This little lesson will
1) Convince ZERO domestic enemies that their minor god Hitler was a socialist, and
2) Convince ZERO Trump-supporters that Beck’s on America’s side.
If Glenn Beck and Alex Jones were stable and free of neurosis then the fact they sometimes make good arguments or uncover good research points would matter.
I’m sorry but this isn’t true and thus their value on this forum is zero, in my opinion.

The whole thing is pointless. Too many people have a deep vested interest in explaining how he wasn’t. The marxists, and democrat party left of all sorts is forced to pretend that nazis were different. If they are no different, that says they are just as evil.
Then some other deluded dead end souls out there who despise communism swallow the lie that nazism was a staunch anti-communist effort that just went too far. But they know they oppose communism, so it becomes too difficult to despise the main opponent of the USSR.
Both positions flip the finger to our founding fathers. They saw complete government control on one end of the scale, anarchy on the other. They wanted a republic as close to the anarchy scale as possible without endangering the rights of the individual. Through those lenses, the difference between a nazi and a communist is academic at best. Both socialist, both at the total government control of the scale. Both utterly despised the individual. Both were/are death cults.
You can’t draw straight lines like this across time periods, borders etc. Definitions of political philosophies change frquently.

Yes its true, but was more about working class rights for German citizens antiimmigration and making Germany great again after things were so bad from WW1. And blaming it on Jews etc. or eliminating the competition also being antigay antidisabled and being totolotarian. Makes sense and thats why people make the trump comparisins but they obviously took it way too far

Agree on both points. Beck's historical research on socialism and Barack Obama going back to 2007 when he was on CNN was spot on. His personal baggage and political positions since then sadly have diminished his support by conservatives.
