My gray said there was more overt police presence at Columbine when she drove by earlier. Were they practicing for an attack by hiding behind their police cars again?

first gray = frau. stupid phone autocorrect. second Columbine was the outlier and 20 year ago. The LEOs did what as normal practice for what was thought to be a hostage situation rather than a mass shooting/suicide. Everyone has learned from this and my understanding is many departments will form a quick ad hoc entrance team based around the first officers present and go in instead of waiting for SWAT.
