I don’t think you get what the rest of us are saying. We know Congress didn’t want to do these things. That wouldn’t have mattered if Trump was at 60+% in the polls and had no albatross around his neck from Sessions/Deep State/Russian issues.
This is completely obvious.
I haven’t had time to read any of the report yet, but was wondering if anyone has run across or heard of mention made to POTUS’s comments about being “wiretapped.”

A POTUS does not have any "political capital" to compel Congress to do its job.
With rare exceptions, I can say with certainty that every failure you've seen over the last two years with regard to Trump's agenda can be laid at the feet of Congress.
I'm trying to figure out why this is such a mystery to so many Freepers. When Trump ran in 2016 on a promise to "drain the swamp," we all knew damn well that this "swamp" included Democrats AND Republicans.
Can it be seriously argued that this mess had no effect on his presidency? That his polling was not adversely affected?
The results of enacting his policies speak for themselves. What does a 55-60% approval rating make possible? Does the House flip?

And the facts simply don't support this statement. For one thing, Trump would never have been at 60%+ in the polls under any circumstances. More importantly, go back to the 2016 election landscape and look again at what happened. I'm almost certain that every victorious GOP Senator and House member won his or her 2016 election by a wider margin than Trump won in those particular states/districts.
Think about that last point for a moment, and then ask yourself if what you posted here makes any sense at all.

I predicted in 2010 that the GOP would never repeal ObamaCare. I was right.
We all knew -- even before 2016 -- that the Republican Party is dominated by open-borders "free traders" in Washington. Heck -- Donald Trump was the first presidential candidate in my lifetime who ran his campaign in direct opposition to key elements of his own party's national platform (immigration and trade).
Trump has been an embarrassment to the Republican Party since the day he announced he was running for President. The party is filled with a bunch of feckless, corrupt @ssholes from top to bottom. Isn't that what we all found so appealing about Donald Trump as a presidential candidate, folks?
If the Democratic controlled U S House of Representatives feel they ought to impeach Pres Trump for obstruction of justice I think they ought to.

Trying to give Trump the benefit of the doubt here, because I don't believe he really had an idea of the depth or the ferocity of the opposition. To be sure, Trump really didn't have a plan to drain the swamp, or much assistance. And he had to put together an administration while his predecessor was trying very hard to sabotage him, and using the resources of the federal government to do it.
I think the best we can hope for from Trump is that he is the one the gets the ball rolling. For better or worse, it was his personality that enabled him to break through the massive bureaucratic state. It will take another with some finesse and knowledge to do the rest of the job.

There is no question that Hussein and Hillary’s teams collaborated to dig up dirt on Trump, his family, associates, and business partners. The real objective was for the Crooked Hillary administration to indict people in Trump’s orbit.
