With the lawsuit boondoggle and bankruptcy due to liability from last years’s fire, This may very well be the only solution that doesn’t bankrupt them again

I think this is the important thing. This has nothing to do with stopping wildfires. This has everything to do with stopping wildfires that PG&E is going to ultimately be liable for.

You have a home in Carmel?

Can I stay there from time to time, to relax and catch up on much needed sleep?

/s(not really)

Think about this for a minute.

I suspect PG&E is going to shut off power as often as they can. Sooner or later the PUC will order them to keep the power on, and suddenly the liability is now on the state not on PG&E.

It needed to be said, so I stepped up.

That’s the way my pappy trained me.

You just got to love Democrats who want renewable power, object to evil utilities run by stupid government employees

California is headed at becoming unlivable, so quickly.

So I guess wind power can’t be transmitted now?
I’m not an operator but I have a question for one....
If the power is off, is there a way to check for broken lines? Must be, cause if they turn the power on a broken line it would just arc and start a fire?

My internet provider, for nearly 4 weeks now, has constantly crashed.
First, they had no idea what was happening, then they claimed they were the target of a “vindictive DDoS attack”.
[probably Russia Russia Russia!]
Other techs said the hardware was messed up.
Then, someone who apparently works there, or used to, said they were doing rolling blackouts to avoid paying their backbone more money for the amount of data they now need, due to connecting far more people than their data quota can cover.
Of all the theories, this one makes sense because the “crashes” happen roughly the same time of day, every day, for almost a month.
I’ve watched all the real-time “attack sites” and there seem to be no attacks happening anywhere near my area, in the middle of nowhere, to a privately owned half ass cable company.

There was one utility that was prohibited from doing any tree trimming slog its right of way due to “spotted owl habitat “ back around 2000. This caused a major fire around Cloudcroft NM.

Look at the PG&E logo. Dig into their tech from space based elec grid ability. IN THEIR OWN WORDS they can change target sights at will. Example from the desert southern Cali to a location in n central Calif successfully,,Their own words...
their own web page as I read it.!
This is a new threat in their own words pay attention!

I told you all this would become the plan to prevent fires! Don't allow trimming of trees and hit company with large penalties, this is the result!

But California, look at all the Green House Gases you will be preventing. Ha, ha, ha. Welcome to the caveman time! Hope no one need emergency treatment! Or fresh water!

It’s the lack of trimming trees which the State and others prevents.

Generators need evil petroleum products so somehow those will be targeted as well.

It’s time for CA homeowners to invest in propane whole-house generators.

They are surprising affordable and don’t cost too much to run. About 5-8K for most homes.

Generac 22000-Watt (LP)/19500-Watt (NG) Air-Cooled Standby Generator with Wi-Fi and Whole House 200 Amp NEMA3 Transfer Switch
Model# 7043

About 5K at Home Depot.

You can get them powered by nat-gas, or propane bulk tank.

Since PG&E bills based upon usage, cutting off users also cuts off their revenue stream.

That will just cause an increase in rates as people in NYC learned in the aftermath of Con Edison's "Save-A-Watt" campaign in the '60s.
