As far any public statement has been made, Huber was never appointed to conduct an investigation.
He was requested by Sessions to “review” certain matters and “make recommendations” to Jeff Sessions or Rod Rosenstein. Also, he was told he could take a pass on reviewing matters having to do with what Mueller was investigating.
We have never been told what if any recommendations Huber made to Sessions. Did Huber recommend that an investigation be started? Who knows?
Since the wrongdoing by the FBI and others we are concerned about is involved with the origins of the hoax Mueller was investigating, it is quite possible that Huber did basically NOTHING, not even make a recommendation, until the Mueller Report was written.
