“Will Philadelphia next remove the Liberty Bell?”

Remove? Destroy is more like it.

The inscription is from the Bible, which is considered hate speech now. If it quoted the Koran, something about raping or slaughtering infidels, it would be praised as cultural diversity.

When it is no longer respected, it will be removed and/or destroyed. History will be erased, and nobody will know what the Liberty Bell was, or what it stood for, or why. Thank you, Liberal punks

What good is it? It’s cracked. But it does have considerable scrap value, so it should be recycled. The money from the scrapyard can help pay for somebody’s sex reassignment surgery. /s

The cracked and inherently fragile Liberty Bell is a very prescient metaphor, more so now than at any time I can remember.

Well until history is repeated again.

“It’s cracked”

As a technical matter, could the crack be repaired and the bell made ringable again?

Time for a New America. The commie/lib/ weirdo have turned our historical Yankee northeastern cities and states into Marxist nightmares. What a shame. My ancestors built the Fairbanks house in Dedham Massachusetts in 1632. I was named after an Indian fighter. My dad was from Minnesota and fought in the China Burma theater. Thank God he is gone and doesn’t see the decay of this country. Now it’s up to our kids to keep the torch of liberty burning. Some days it looks bleak but my son’s and others in their generation see what’s right and wrong. We must keep the faith and never let the memory of our heritage be extinguished.

Interesting that the bell in the illustration is not the Liberty Bell. Read the inscription.

With the many lefty whackjobs up there, they're probably trying to find a way to smoke the crack.

It has been rung on special occasions.

They did. It was recast once, and the bolts you see in the crack were a repair effort.
The alloy mix is off, so it’s too brittle for the job. In a later post it is said it is rung every once in a while. Actually gently sounded with a rubber mallet

Sad beyond belief. We have fallen far from our noble heritage.

Should the Liberty Bell Leave Philadelphia?

Yes! Before it is stolen and sold for scrap metal.

Leviticus 25:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
