I didn’t say they should stop trading. But the Blue states, for the most part, rely on the Red states for darn near everything. Food items being one of them. I’m not saying they won’t be able to support themselves, but they would have a very tough time doing so.
As for trading, they should get taken to the cleaners on any and every trade deal.
I wonder how many Republicans don’t even bother to vote in places like Washington, Oregon, California because they “know” their vote won’t count?
Although even then, the major populations are in the cities, which are mostly liberal. (Another reason why the liberals are in favor of Agenda 21 and the growth of cities.)
The west coast states, if faced with a food embargo, would close off their ports to trade with the red states. All the money made on grain going to China would disappear.
Perhaps could make a deal with Canada. Perhaps Minnesota would join the “rural” areas and stuff could be shipped out of Duluth.
It’s a long ways to some port in South Carolina or wherever.
I’m guessing somebody has already written a novel about this. Heck, our government probably has war-gamed it.
Heck, our government probably has war-gamed it.....100%
Thanks! As I wrote it, I seemed to recall that freeper Bracken would have written something.
