“Prosecution of the DAD was declined.”

Could this mean that the IG referred the DAD to the DOJ for prosecution (given that the IG had determined him guilty of the offenses, as stated), but that DOJ declined to prosecute?

If the IG can’t prosecute, as someone asserted here earlier, that would be about the only reading that makes sense, no?

And if DOJ declined to prosecute a deputy assistant director for clear violations, perhaps that’s because they used the threat of prosecution to get the DAD to provide evidence or testimony regarding crimes by higher ups?

How was this released? Did someone just find it in a pile of government announcements, or did a press release accompany it?

Dated June of 2018. Who was Attorney General then?

Thank you for beating me.

If all we have to look forward to is Rule of Skullduggery - win or lose, by either side - then the Republic and Constitution are already lost.

That’s actually not an unreasonable reason to not prosecute - depending on what exactly was leaked. The acceptance of the tickets is reason for a reprimand, but not a prosecution.

Now the leaks should absolutely not have been happening, and the employees should be advised that prosecutions will happen going forward.

That said, it’s not the end of liability either.

This however, gives some more detail, and seems worthy of prosecution:

For example, during the periods we reviewed, we identified dozens of FBI employees that had contact with members of the media.

What is the quid pro quo here? The DAD of the article gets a gift well above the $8 value permitted by the Hatch Act (as interpreted by another Federal Agency some years ago). What happens if some person complains about one of the MSM media or their friends to the FBI? Does such an individual get quietly declared a Secular Blasphemer and have USA internal security mobilized against him?
