Put some ice on that.
That’s what you get when you assign social justice warriors to do a study. Was the study controlled for poverty level? For alcoholism? For other lifestyle factors?
1. How many of the perpetrators of this violence are indigenous MEN?
2. How does the Canadian government have any responsibility for that?
Canada -- a beautiful country governed by nitwits.
Let it slide, hmm?
What makes someone “indigenous”?
Am I an “indigenous” staten islander?
Can I take the homes of people who werent born here by force? :)
Even Trudeau was smart enough not to call it a genocide. Yes, what happen was and is horrible and needs fixing. But, genocide. Common on.
If so, you'd have no standing to do so.
Just curious, how is one “ born here by force?”
Plus they might be gangsters with bigger guns :)
Obviously, Canada should be put in jail.
You not only have the right, you have the responsibility.
Rofl!!
Lol
A large majority of the murdered indigenous women were killed by indigenous men. Somehow this is Whitey’s fault.
“The report cited research finding indigenous women were 12 times more likely to be killed or to disappear than other women in Canada.”
I’ll bet the rate is not 12 higher for “other women” who associate with indigenous men.
Never mind that in one instance, the subject in question had a handgun pointed at officers, and another tried to run down the officers with her car to protect her non-indigenous boyfriend, but you know, race.
O, Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Our Northern brothers and sisters are dealing with their own DS issues.
Go Canucks, eh?
A somewhat similar case is being made among US tribes. Perhaps not yet nation, or tribe wide, MMIW is a group called Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
Unfortunately there is culture to be dealt with and many Sovereign Nations as well. The ICWA, Indian Child Welfare Act is only the beginning of issues that will only be resolved in my humble opinion after the bad side of the culture is abandoned, and they are no longer Sovereign Nations within the U.S. border. Treaties, a separate health service and Reservations, just adds to the load of “stuff” on the political plate.
Meanwhile it is business as usual. Cartel’s are active on Indian Reservations, as well as other criminal activity, such as human trafficking.
