There has to be a video.

Remember when the “gentle giant from Ferguson” was shown strong-arm robbing the store right before he was shot? Atty General Holder condemned the Ferguson Police Dept for releasing the video. Apparently showing the thug in anything but his graduation gown is bad. I’m sure showing the Memphis ‘honors student’s” video mocking the cops just minutes before his demise is considered prejudicial and racist as well.

Then it is propaganda and it must to be released. Remember that MLK talked about a man’s character. Well if that man is robbing a convergence store, then that is a good indication of his character. It is unfortunate for him, but it is the truth.

“Better shot dead than having to feed, clothe and house the POS’s azz for the next 50 years at taxpayer expense. Bullets are cheaper.”

But you know, Webber would probably agree and he would rather be shot dead than die in prison. I think a lot of his friends would agree.

However, this could put police in a precarious position. If suspects believe that they will die in prison, they are likely to put up greater resistance against the police. A cornered rat is more dangerous and fights harder; everyone know this from Art of War.

BTW, for armed robbery why are federal police needed. Why can’t state and local LEOs take the lead?

US Marshalls served the warrant -- he crossed into Mississippi with, and then shot the man he was supposedly buying the car from. The warrants were based on crimes committed in another state. It was under federal jurisdiction.

Lol, “the total number of times he was shot was not determined...”

I’ll determine it for them: enough.

I served with the NG in Memphis during the 1978 Fireman's Riots. Several NG troops just chunked them into the river at different places. None were missing so I presumed they swam back to the bank. Nothing like being in Orange Mound during a riot.

If they could handle the truth they wouldn’t be BLM. BLM has a history of acting out because they don’t care if an injustice was done or not. Their basic ideology is one that looks at everything through the lens of power. What individuals do or don’t do may be immaterial, they are either among the oppressed or the oppressors. Being deemed oppressed, even if they’re so desperate for oppressors that they have to hire Nigerians to fake it, means there can be no justice for black people just because and no other reason.

It is not a rational ideology.

They can’t even come up with a truthful account of how many kids this twenty-year-old “model” father may have sired.
*********************************************************
True dat. But I suspect, if they wanted to, they’d have no difficulty coming up with a truthful account of how many of his spawn he was actually SUPPORTING—-ZERO.

BLM and the mindset behind it just cost Oberlin college $44 million

And the activists still get their AA degree and walk away laughing

Ya know, learning to discern between violent criminals and innocent victims is a prerequisite for respect.
People cannot claim victim-hood if 100% of the oppressed are professional criminals.

When I hear BLM making waves my first thought is what crime did the black guy commit?
It is just like hate crimes all being fake. Without a real victim no one will respect these movements.

“Their (BLM) basic ideology is one that looks at everything through the lens of power”

Nearly all political organizations and groups do this. Apparently their message, like it or not, resonates with the black community. They can cite high incarceration rates for blacks in general and even higher for young black males. Ex cons returning to community, their families and friends will have hostile values against police and authority validated. BLM uses media allies and together they reinforce narrative of police as a brutal, occupying army not to be trusted. The “right wing” reaction supporting the police and against the BLM is just what they want. Cries of racism make sense and stir the black community to action. A big crackdown would be a dream scenario for BLM.

Webber probably figured that “death in combat” was better that death in a prison cell. He could be on his way to being a rock star among the black community. Someone will probably do a rap song to glorify his death. Others in his community will look up to him and next time the fight will be more spectacular.
