Arrrrgh! Cabbage soup...every day.
Oh and the barbed wire, torture, bitter cold and sleeping arrangements.
But Cabbage soup...every day. Arrrgh!
I was 14 when I read it.

The best movies are made by people who have some living connection to the events they're bringing to the screen.
Good American anti-Communist movies aren't that common because American filmmakers didn't live under communism.
The '70s one wasn't horrific, but had lost almost ALL of the "punch" of the original '50's version!
OTOH...the 1984 version of 1984 is the best one!
K-19 The Widowmaker. Really surprised it didn’t make the list.

Very anticommunist!
“Warsaw 1920” - Has English subtitles
Polish Army stops the Red Army from rolling into Europe after WWI & the Russian Revolution.
