The problem is, by having outsiders and a liberal NY RINO Congresswoman strongly supporting Moser, it won’t be helping the cause to defeat Massie. It will indeed make him look like a stalwart fighting Conservative against an Establishment type who draws her support from out of the district and state, and that won’t play well in that area.

As an aside, I’m indifferent to Massie. He doesn’t behave like Amash, even if he is a Paulbot. If he did, I’d be more in a hurry to get rid of him.

He knew he was about to be primaried out?

Saved the GOP a lot of trouble, and now a real Republican can take his seat.

No endorsement from me yet but I have to flush your particular grievances with this chick.

I agree with Auh that pissing on an ACU 88 *State* rating in comparison with a *Federal* 92 is ludicrous, even if they were an infallible rating which they aren’t, a few points based on *different* votes? C’mon, this looks like you were fishing for something.

As for “outsider” national help, almost every candidate would seek it and few would refuse it. I’m sure national Paultard networks back Massie.

And you know who voted with hated Elise against the Goodlate immigration bill in 2018? Tom Massie. I notice Steve King did as well, doubtless there were imperfections in the bill a conservative could point to, but it looked to me like something to support.

Several ratings paint him as disloyal and voting with Amash all of the time and he showed the alarming lack of judgment in thinking Amash deserved a vote for Speaker. He also voted to block the emergency border declaration, one of only 13 Republicans to do so. Granted he’s not a little prima donna whining bitch boy like Justine but the ideology appears to be identical.

Ronulans are better than most Republicans on a lot of things and among the worst RINOs on others. Is the trade off worth it in this case? I have to consider the totality of the situation.

A primary challenger deserves consideration at the very least.

I’d love to see him denounce Justine.

FWIW also, Elise claims her PAC does not recruit or endorse challengers to incumbent Republicans so any involvement up to this point would appear to be limited to 2 chicks talking to each other. I’m sure Tom Massie never spoke to someone from outside Kentucky, like Justin Amash or Ron Paul, about running for Congress before he did so.

Credit though, Massie appears to be fully loyal towards the President remaining in office, unlike Justine.

_____________

True, but that’s a really low bar that only Amash failed to clear among Republicans in Congress. We’re supposed to give Massie credit for not publicly espousing the impeachment of a president of his own party who hasn’t committed any High Crimes or Misdemeanors? Talk about the soft bigotry of low expectations! Not calling for President Trump’s impeachment when he hasn’t done anything impeachable is not a sign of loyalty, it’s a sign of not being an open moonbat idiot.

In any event, while I am willing to cut some slack for Republicans representing districts in whih conservatives are in the minority, Massie represents a conservative, comfortably Republican, district. We need to be mindful that we can’t expect a Ted Cruz or Jim Jordan voting record from someone in a marginal district, but we shouldn’t have to tamper expectations in a strongly Republican district just because the incumbent is a Paultard.

At the very least, some reporter should corner Congressman Massie on the spot and ask him: " Do you now regret your vote for Justin Amash for Speaker, given that Congressman Amash has joined the Democrats in calling for President Trump's impeachment and now quit the Republican Party over it?"

You are correct, “credit” was the wrong word.

I should have “At least” or something like that.
