Really? Send us a photo of any armored vehicle on the Mall with a weapon installed.
Check a place called FR.
You know what I think? You can't tell when the gun's missing. Every photo I've seen of M3s in the DC Independence Day event, they are on trailers and the main gun's missing.
Despite your Redleg moniker, you don't know much about current armor or armament do you?
If you bother to look at the two M-3s on static display, on either side in front of the speaker platform, the day of the speech, you will see, clearly, chain guns installed.
And yeah, 32+ years in the Army in Infantry, Armored Cavalry and Field Artillery didnt teach me much about armor or armament!
I really need to defer to your superior armchair generalship.
I have no doubt that you have a long and distinguished military career - but you still haven't posted or linked to a photo of an armed armored vehicle at the Independence Day celebration. I have seen photos where the gun was present while they were still on the transporter and soldiers working on the gun (most likely removing it) but none at all of an armed M3 Bradley on display.
BTW, I commanded an artillery battalion for a couple of years - and have worked on military technologies for a couple of decades - so I'm not totally dim - or overstating the tendency of our "betters" to cavil before Leftist opposition.

If you look carefully, you will see Forrest Gump in the background.
Then I stand corrected - the photos don’t lie!
