According to this article from 2015, Krischer refused to prosecute Epstein on any of the major charges. A picture of Krischer is on the left-hand side of the page down a bit, and this is where the first mention of Krischer is made
Another article I read said that Krischer refused to have Epstein arrested, and instead called for a Grand Jury.
That info is in this article from 2018. Krischer is covered in the section "Justice Not Served":

No contest. I believe Acosta over a toad prosecutor from Palm Beach County where the county government is controlled by the Democrats. I can easily see Krischer letting Epstein off just to satisfy his party’s royalty.

As a rule I would never take the word of a Democrat politician from Palm Beach or Broward counties.
Don't know how factual it is, but a quick search came up with this info from Wikipedia:
"After the federal government agreed to charging Epstein on one count under state law, the prosecution convened a grand jury. Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter later accused the state attorney of being too lenient and then transferred the case to the FBI. The grand jury returned a single charge of felony solicitation of prostitution, to which Epstein pleaded not guilty in August 2006."
Mueller was the Director of the FBI at that time. Alberto Gonzales was Attorney General from February 3, 2005 to September 17, 2007. I'm assuming he would have had the authority to assign Acosta at the U.S. Attorney in this case.
This guy is full of it. What undoubtedly happened was that the local police, upset that the local states attorney was obviously going to give this guy a slap on the wrist, contacted the federal authorities to intervene. When the federal authorities started to threaten federal prosecution, the defendant and his lawyers work the case out in state court where the defendant received significantly more punishment than he would have. This happens all the time. The federal authorities sit in the background and the very threat of federal prosecution entices the defendant and his lawyers to work the case out in state court.
I lived in Florida from 1992. From what I remember Krischer was a snake.
The leftists have been editing Wiki like crazy for the last few days to spin the Epstein case against Trump. It is much more enlightening to Google articles that were written a month ago and previously.
Krischer wasn’t interested in a big Democrat donor’s child molesting because he was too busy going through Rush’s garbage trying to put him in prison for becoming addicted to pain medication after back surgery.

This is BS. These were charges of violations of Florida law and this putz was State’s Attorney. He could have told Acosta to take a hike and prosecuted the case himself, but he punted.

Michael Reiter is an American security advisor who previously served as chief of police of Palm Beach, Florida, from 2001 to 2009. Having served in the Palm Beach Police Department since 1981, he has been involved in several high-profile criminal investigations in the affluent town with several nationally-prominent residents, including the overdose death of David Kennedy and the criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. Again dissatisfied by the outcome, Reiter contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the federal prosecutor for the Southern District of Florida, Alexander Acosta.[17] Reiter also sent letters to the each of victim’s parents explaining that he believed justice had not been served.[3][18]
Epstein, under threat of federal prosecution,[19] agreed to plead guilty to the state charge of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution,[3] served a 13-month jail sentence, and was registered as a sex offender.[20]
