I wonder if this fools errand has to do with trying to get Buttigieg in as veep? He can’t deliver a state, but he is sitting on a pile of money. The thing they keep saying about him is that he’s gay, but being gay is not going to deliver a win. Evangelicals on the other hand are a significant demographic in a Trump win. Besides, these arrogant little proggy toe-rags are convinced that deplorables are stupid. All through Obama’s last term they were prematurely dancing on our graves due to the opioid crisis and outsourcing job losses. We were called irredeemable and deplorable, clinging to our guns and Bibles, remember? So now, what, suddenly Democrats were secretly us after all, buried, deep, DEEP, inside, and dont you know, we should all be charitable enough to let them finish the job they tried to do on us... really??!

If you ask of one these so-called progressive evangelicals how they perceive Jesus, you’ll get a very different answer than that of a true evangelical. To the Left, Jesus is the ultimate SJW, always down for the cause. You’ll hear nary a peep from the “woke” crowd about sin and/or salvation.

I don't want to be a contrarian here but you would be shocked by how many women evangelicals are pro abortion. I know a couple, one a preacher's wife the other actually a female minister.

Evangelicals are not Catholic. They/we are more in line with the rest of the country on abortion. Life of the mother, incest, rape, trying to prevent abortion on these grounds will cause most evangelicals to refuse to back the policy. The position of no abortion under any circumstances is a loser in the voting booth. I would heartily urge the GOP to not go down that road.
