I, a youth minister then, was rejected as a marital prospect in the early 1980s because I publicly denounced all abortion without exception to my fellow professing Christians in a very “conservative” congregation.

Abortion is murder. Setting a higher bar (so called) for committing that act of murder is similar to George Bernard Shaw’s famous comment about setting the price before a woman will prostitute herself.
As for the supposed GOP: A) I could not care less, since morality for me is not political; B) There is no GOP [Grand Old Party] - it is, post-WWII, the Neocon (Trotskyist) COP [Controlled Opposition Party].

Last I checked, writing bad legislation in order to get a court ruling was a Lefty thing to do, not a Republican thing to do. We loose because we refuse to fight with out using comparable weapons. That is also a sure way to lose a war, especially if you don't recognize you are even in one.
