134 years of racial profiling, discrimination, and giving people of color dirty looks, of course./s

Give it another 3 or 4 years to burn through all of their endowment $$$$...
And once that’s gone, good luck getting it replenished after pulling off this crap.

This is a particularly egregious example, but there are a gazillion more very heinous abuses going on across the US.

In the Oberlin case, black shoplifters cried racism though found to be guilty. And the school leadership led a violent mob and hate campaign against the bakery in the name of saving the poor oppressed black people.

The black shoplifters in the case were guilty.
The school leadership that organized students against the bakery (including harassing black bakery employees) was found guilty, too.

Seriesly, I remember the Korean grocery boycott in Brooklyn that was the beginning of the end of the Dinkins administration. My remarks are purely sarcastic, as my sarc tab attests.

Excellent comments after the story, and thanks for posting. Oberlin’s legal team apparently has not yet filed for appeal, although there seems little doubt they’re going to. That will limit their time to come up with a bond, though.

it's not going to be that often that other schools are going to be stupid enough to have a dean on a bullhorn yelling inflammatory statements and directing a protest at a private business off-campus. Maybe, but there are plenty of deranged educators that will do crazy things under the color of their authority.

This bodes well for Nick Sandman.

That is likely the case, many endowments at any college, not-for-profit type institution is usually mostly restricted for some special project.
