I know several comfortable, upper middle-class American Jews who will vote for whoever the Democrats put up as their candidate. If AOC or Omar were their congressperson, I suspect they would vote for them directly also. One even had ancestors in the Holocaust, whose family then bounced around South America before finding a home in the USA in the 1970s.
I don’t understand it. It’s a complete mystery to me how they can vote for people who despise them and would have them killed if they could legally do so................
These Jews I speak of are ideologically possessed and live and work in urban, leftist, corporate bubbles. Its important for their identity to be liberal/leftist, and be seen among their chosen peers as being properly liberal/leftist.
Upper class American Jews view the Republican Party as a bunch of white hicks.
Yes, they live in these wealthy Jewish suburbs (North Jersey/NYC/Westchester)
The only Republican they voted for was Bush in 2004 after 9/11, that’s why Bush did well for a Republican in the Northeast after 9/11/2001.
But they love Obama, Bernie, AOC, Omar.
Guy was a jerk for being so familiar with me in a first meeting.
Maybe I am finally seeing Trump’s wisdom in obsessing about the squad - clearly we have AOC on record as a Jew hater. Then again the USA had another Jew hater, Carter, as President, and it didn’t seem to sway the Jewish vote then. Is there a chance we can get more than 20% of the Jewish vote.
